Ukraine has reached a level of technological weapons production that, in the long term, could surpass Russia's capabilities, according to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, defense production received the greatest attention during today's Staff meeting. Government officials met with Ukrainian arms manufacturers to discuss their current needs.
In particular, the discussions focused on the administrative decisions and state funding required to further expand production. This would allow Ukraine to maximize its capabilities to put pressure on Russia and weaken its forces on the battlefield.
"This primarily concerns Ukrainian drones of all types, unmanned ground systems, our missile program, electronic warfare systems, and military equipment," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov reported the allocation of nearly UAH 1 billion for the production of Ukrainian explosives. The funds will go to six enterprises, each of which will be able to produce more than 7 tons of explosives per month.
Ukraine has developed the DART missile, which is launched directly from stratospheric balloons. One of the key advantages of the new development is its resistance to Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems.
