The Vatican’s position was announced in Rome during a bilateral meeting with the Italian government at Palazzo Borromeo, timed to the anniversary of the signing of the Lateran Pacts. The event was also attended by Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Why doubts arose
"There are points that leave us somewhat perplexed. There are certain critical points that require clarification. The important thingis that an attempt is being made to provide a response. However, for us, there are certain critical issues that should be resolved," emphasized Parolin.
UN activity
He added that one of the problems is that "at the international level it should above all be the UN that manages these crisis situations."
According to him, this was the point that the Vatican insisted on.
Trump’s Peace Board
Trump’s Peace Board is a new international platform created to seek diplomatic ways to resolve global conflicts.
The initiative is presented as an attempt to form a task force of countries capable of quickly responding to crises and proposing concrete solutions to achieve stability in the world.
The project involves engaging various countries as participants or observers for collective discussion of international security issues.
Notably, Trump recently announced a Peace Board meeting to discuss the possibility of sending troops to the Gaza Strip.
