The US believes that Ukraine has several surprises in store that will help it win on the battlefield, says US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.

"We believe that Ukraine has a plan that they can execute to achieve victories on the battlefield," Miller said.

According to him, the US saw victories on the battlefield, referring to the sinking of a Russian ship in the Black Sea.

"So, we do believe that they have some surprises in store," Miller added.

Attack on Russian Sergei Kotov ship

On the night of March 4-5, 2024, the special unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine "Group 13" attacked the patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation Sergei Kotov. As a result of the attack by Magura V5 naval drones, the Russian ship project 22160 Sergei Kotov received damage to the stern, right, and left sides. The attack took place near the Kerch Strait.

Earlier, Defense Intelligence of Ukraine published an interception of the conversation of the occupiers after the attack on Sergei Kotov, in which one of the Russians admits that "there was a helicopter there, and a ship with weapons" on board.
