On March 24, Russia launched a missile strike on the center of Sumy, resulting in over a hundred people being injured. The US condemns any "consequences" for civilians, State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce says during a briefing.

Commenting on the missile strike by Russian terrorists, Bruce stated that Washington "condemns the consequences for the civilian population" and continues to work on the issue of a ceasefire.

"... and the negotiations in Saudi Arabia are currently aimed at achieving this commitment and implementing it. That's why we are doing what we are doing, because such results, like in any war, are problematic and painful, and we want to stop and reverse it. That's why we are doing what we are doing right now," the US State Department Spokesperson added.

At the same time, Bruce did not directly state that the US condemns the actions of Russia and its regular shelling.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, the Russian strike occurred amid empty statements by the terrorists about peace.
