The US President’s Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, will travel to Kyiv tonight, February 18, Reuters reports.

According to the agency, an unnamed source familiar with the American official’s schedule revealed Kellogg’s plans to head to Kyiv.

Kellogg's visit to Kyiv

Earlier in early February, RBC-Ukraine sources in the Office of the President reported that US Special Representative Keith Kellogg would visit Ukraine on February 20 — a date proposed by the American side.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently confirmed that Kellogg will arrive in Kyiv on February 20. He is set to hold meetings with military officials, diplomats, and Ukrainian Ministry of Defense representatives.

According to the Ukrainian leader, he also wants to visit the front line with Kellogg. This is necessary to help the US Special Representative better understand all the issues.

Kellogg is also expected to meet with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and brigade commanders.

Notably, Kellogg suggested that Ukraine might have to give up some of its territories as part of a peace agreement. However, according to him, this would not necessarily have to be legally recognized.
