US plans to adjust its position on arms provided to Ukraine - Secretary Blinken
Russia has changed its actions on the battlefield in Ukraine. That is why Ukraine and its partners need to adapt, according to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, reports AP.
“As what Russia’s doing has changed, as the battlefield has changed, we’ve adapted,” Blinken said.
According to him, one of the reasons for his visit to Kyiv yesterday was to find out what Ukraine needs.
“One of the purposes of my visit to Kyiv yesterday was to hear from our Ukrainian partners what they believe they need now to deal with the current battlefield, including in eastern Ukraine and other parts of the country,” he said.
The Secretary of State says that as events unfold, the United States will also adapt.
“I can tell you that as we go forward we will do exactly what we have already done, which is we will adjust as necessary … in order to defend against Russian aggression,” he added.
Authorization for Ukraine to strike deep against Russia
US President Joe Biden will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike deep into Russia.
During yesterday's visit to Kyiv, Blinken and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy met with President Zelenskyy. According to Zelenskyy, the meeting was informative and lengthy.
