Commenting on the meeting of the American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, Mike Waltz, the adviser to the President of the United States of America, said that they were "getting there", CNN reports.

During a break in the negotiations, in response to a CNN question about how the meeting of the delegations was going, Waltz replied that they were "getting there".

The negotiations between the delegations have been going on for four hours.

Before that, CNN adds, the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, said that the meeting started "very constructively."

Negotiations between Ukraine and United States in Saudi Arabia

Today, March 11, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States are meeting in Saudi Arabia. The talks are expected to raise the issue of Washington's support and intelligence sharing between the two countries. As Donald Trump noted earlier, he hopes for positive results from the delegations' talks.

The meeting started at 11 a.m. Kyiv time.

The Ukrainian side is represented by:

  • Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha,
  • Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak,
  • Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

The American side is represented by:

  • US Secretary of State Marco Rubio;
  • National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
