American forces successfully struck fortified Iranian missile sites along the country’s coast near the Strait of Hormuz. The strikes used heavy bunker-buster bombs, according to a post by the US Central Command (CENTCOM).
According to the statement, the attack took place a few hours ago, and US forces successfully employed several 5,000-pound deep-penetration munitions to carry it out.
The target of the American strike was the fortified missile positions along the Iranian coast near the Strait of Hormuz.
"The Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles in these sites posed a risk to international shipping in the strait," the command explained.

Strait of Hormuz
Due to the US and Israeli military operation against Iran, Tehran effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world’s oil passes, causing prices to rise.
For this reason, US President Donald Trump called on Europe and other countries to help unblock the strait. However, he was refused assistance, including by France and Germany.
In response, Trump called the NATO allies’ refusal a very foolish mistake. He claims he does not plan to retaliate for this, but publicly stated that the US needs to reconsider its membership in the alliance.
