Monitoring US military aid to Ukraine
In September of last year, the Pentagon deployed inspectors to Kyiv to monitor US military assistance to Ukraine. A similar US oversight mission was conducted in Ukraine earlier this year.
According to the US Agency for International Development (USAID), no serious violations regarding US aid to Ukraine were found.
In November 2023, Ukraine's Ministry of Defense reported that experts from the European Peace Facility monitoring mission were accounting for weapons provided to Ukraine's Defense Forces by EU countries.
In March 2024, the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) presented recommendations to the Department of Defense to ensure the tracking and proper use of American equipment provided to Ukraine as part of defense aid.
