Demining of routes for the humanitarian convoy and evacuation from Ukraine's Oleshky is complete. Residents can leave the Russia-occupied city by 2 p.m. on October 30, according to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
Demining completed
Preparations for the humanitarian mission in Oleshky are nearing completion. Lubinets said demining of the designated routes is complete.
"The humanitarian convoy has been assembled and is ready to depart. It is expected to arrive at the central hospital. All necessary assistance will be provided to residents," the official promised.
Lubinets noted that people wishing to leave Oleshky can do so by 2 p.m., with all necessary safety measures in place.
"Humanitarian aid distribution will be arranged after 2:30 p.m.," he added.
Who harmonizes the mission
The ombudsman says Ukrainian, Russian, and US delegations have gathered to coordinate further action as part of the humanitarian mission. Journalists from all three countries are also present.
Lubinets thanked US First Lady Melania Trump for her personal involvement, mediation, and coordination of efforts, which helped achieve important humanitarian agreements.
As previously reported, a ceasefire had been in effect in the Oleshky area of the Kherson region for 54 consecutive hours. Humanitarian aid was being prepared for residents and was expected to reach the city the following day, October 30.
In addition, according to Fox News, Ukraine and Russia agreed to monthly aid deliveries in the Kherson region after the humanitarian mission in Oleshky.
US First Lady Melania Trump also said several Newsmax journalists would travel to Russia-occupied Oleshky to cover the humanitarian mission.
