US First Lady Melania Trump announced that several Newsmax journalists will travel to Russian-occupied Oleshky in Ukraine’s Kherson region to cover a humanitarian mission.
According to her, American journalists will work with both Ukrainian and Russian heads of humanitarian organizations.
"Four American journalists from Newsmax will be on the ground in Oleshky, embedded with Russian and Ukrainian humanitarian leaders. Serving as neutral observers, they will independently record and permanently document this historic humanitarian mission," the post said.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s special envoy Kirill Dmitriev made the same announcement regarding the Newsmax journalists.
Ceasefire in Oleshky
On October 27, a ceasefire was introduced in the area of temporarily Russian-occupied Oleshky in Ukraine’s Kherson region to facilitate a humanitarian mission. The mission includes providing assistance to civilians and evacuating residents. The ceasefire will remain in effect until 10:59 p.m. on November 1.
Yesterday, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said that the first 30 hours of the ceasefire in Oleshky passed without incident. He stressed that Ukraine continues to coordinate the implementation of the agreements reached to help the city’s residents.
