Ukraine has carried out two missile strikes, destroying two Russian fighter jets and hitting an Iskander missile launcher, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"I have just received a briefing. We carried out two missile strikes, destroying two Russian Su-34s and also hitting an Iskander launch system. Thank you, guys, for the results," the president said.
The Ukrainian Navy previously reported that Ukrainian forces had struck two enemy Su-34 fighter jets at the Marinovka airfield in Russia’s Volgograd region using a Neptune coastal missile system.
Earlier, on the afternoon of October 25, cruise missiles struck the Energiya plant in Yelets, in Russia’s Lipetsk region. The facility specializes in manufacturing batteries for Iskander and Kinzhal missile systems.
Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) has also revealed information about foreign companies and equipment used by Russia’s defense industry to manufacture ballistic missiles.
In addition, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a repair base for Iskander-M missile systems in Russia’s Kursk region.
