The United States has certain secret weapons unknown to the rest of the world, and they should still be kept secret, US President Donald Trump said, News Nation reports.
"We have weapons that nobody knows about, and I say it's probably good not to talk about it, but we have some amazing weapons," Trump said.
He did not provide details about the nature or capabilities of the weapons mentioned, but the journalist's question, after which Trump boasted about secret weapons, concerned a US operation in Venezuela. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that they may have already been used during the abduction of Nicolas Maduro.
Development of new weapons in the US
In October 2025, Donald Trump announced for the first time in 33 years his intention to resume nuclear tests.
He also said that he had instructed the Pentagon to conduct tests of the US nuclear arsenal "on an equal basis" with other nuclear powers. At the same time, Trump stated that the United States has a larger atomic arsenal and better weapons than Russia.
In addition, the US president also announced the creation of a new class of ships called the Trump. It is known that the first American battleships of this class could cost up to $22 billion, making them among the most expensive warships in US history.
Guided-missile battleship will be twice as large as any cruiser or destroyer built by the Navy since World War II, but about three times smaller than aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, which is currently the most expensive warship in the United States.
A Navy information bulletin said the ship will weigh about 35,000 tons and have a crew of up to 850 people.
