US slams Putin’s May 9 ceasefire proposal: 'Absurd'

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal for a ceasefire with Ukraine on May 9 is absurd. A ceasefire must last at least 30 days, stated US Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg.

He noted that the United States had offered Ukraine "22 very specific actions" to end the war between the two countries, developed after frank, direct, and difficult negotiations with the Ukrainian side.

Germany's incoming foreign minister vows to continue supporting Ukraine

Germany will continue to support Ukraine. It should be clear to Russia's Vladimir Putin that Berlin will continue to stand by Kyiv, says the future head of the German Foreign Ministry, Johann Wadephul.

Trump says Putin’s actions could shift his stance on Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has admitted that certain actions by Russia's Vladimir Putin could sway him to Ukraine.

During an interview with The Atlantic, editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg asked the US president if there was anything Putin could do that would make Trump say, "You know what? I’m on Zelenskyy’s side now."

He also clarified that assistance to Ukraine does not necessarily have to be in the form of new weapons.

India prepares response to Pakistan: PM grants full freedom of action to military

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has granted the military "complete operational freedom to decide on the mode, targets, and timing" of response to Pakistan for the terrorist attack in Kashmir.

"It is our national resolve to deal a crushing blow to terrorism," Modi said.

The Indian Prime Minister expressed complete confidence in the professionalism of the country's armed forces and vowed to pursue terrorists and their supporters "to the ends of the earth," promising to impose "punishment bigger than they can imagine".
