The United States aims to resolve two key issues of the peace plan with Ukraine today, November 30 — territorial issues and security guarantees, reports Axios.
Axios noted that these issues will be the main focus of talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Miami.
"The Ukrainians know what we expect from them," a senior US official said ahead of the meeting.
Axios also reported that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will present the peace plan to Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, December 2.
Negotiations on the peace plan
US and Russian officials previously developed a peace plan to end the war in Ukraine. The plan originally included 28 points, most of which conflicted with Ukrainian interests.
On November 23, Ukrainian and American delegations held talks in Geneva on the US peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine. After the discussions, the Financial Times reported that the document had been significantly reduced from 28 to 19 points, though US President Donald Trump stated it was shortened to 22 points.
Officially, the US and Ukraine said that the final details of the document will be agreed upon during a personal meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On November 29, it became known that the Ukrainian delegation had traveled to the US for further discussions on the peace plan.
