The United Kingdom and Ukraine have started talks on a 100-year partnership, according to the UK Embassy in Kyiv.

UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron has begun negotiations with Ukraine on a 100-year partnership.

"A new agreement that will build enduring links between our two countries across the spectrum of trade, security and defense cooperation, science and tech, education, culture, and much more," the statement says.

In addition, Cameron confirmed £36 million in aid for Ukraine's energy infrastructure, including £20 million in emergency funding to help rebuild after the recent wave of attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure and another £16 million for the winners of the Innovate Ukraine innovation project competition.

UK assistance to Ukraine

The UK has recently allocated about £150 million to develop Ukraine's energy sector.

In early April, it became known that London was considering supplying Ukraine with prototype laser weapons to shoot down drones and missiles.

On April 10, Ukraine and the United Kingdom signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the field of defense equipment.

March 22 The UK Ministry of Defense announces new military aid to Ukraine of 60 million pounds. This amount includes drones and air defense equipment.

In addition, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced an increase in military aid to Ukraine by 500 million pounds.
