The UN has condemned Russia's serious violations of human rights in Ukraine, states the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

According to the minister, the UN General Assembly called on Russia to stop the forced eviction of Ukrainian children and civilians and ensure their safe return home.

"I welcome the updated UNGA resolution condemning Russia’s grave human rights violations, notably urging it to cease forcible deportations and ensure a safe return of all Ukrainian children and civilian hostages. These are some of the most heinous crimes and they must be stopped," he wrote in his statement.

War crimes of Russian troops in Ukraine

Earlier we reported that the UN recognized war crimes committed by Russians during the full-scale war in Ukraine.

We also wrote that the UN found new evidence of Russia's war crimes in Ukraine. In particular, Russia is destroying civilian objects, raping and deporting children to Russia.

In early December, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that more than a hundred thousand violations of the law and customs of war by the Russian occupiers had been documented.
