Ukrainian special forces destroy North Koreans' platoon in Russian rear: Footage revealed

The Ukrainian Special Operations Forces destroyed a platoon of North Korea's troops in the Kursk region. The number of Koreans was three times higher.
"Soldiers of the 6th Ranger Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted special operations against North Korean regular troops in the Kursk region of Russia. During a quick contact, the Special Forces operators killed 25 North Koreans," the statement said.
Details of the close combat with the Koreans in the Kursk region
8 rangers in an armored Humvee moved to the enemy's rear, with the support of reconnaissance drones, came within the range of direct fire, and took up favorable firing positions in the trenches.
"The Special Operations Forces operators started a close combat against a North Korean platoon of 25 men, 3 times their number, and retained the initiative until the end," the SOF said.
According to the Ukrainian military, despite the enemy's numerical superiority and enemy artillery fire, the SOF soldiers proved the superiority of quality over quantity and did not leave the entire North Korean platoon a chance during the contact.
"The ranger group withdrew after completing the task," the Special Forces stated.
Participation of North Korean troops in Russia's war in Ukraine
In January, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured two North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. This was not easy to do, as Russians and other North Korean soldiers usually finish off their wounded and do everything they can to prevent evidence of North Korea's participation in Russia's war against Ukraine.
As early as December 14 last year, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine stated that North Korean troops would soon begin to storm the positions of the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region.
It became known in early October 2024 that North Korea could send its regular troops to Ukraine to support Russian soldiers.
