President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation in the Middle East is difficult and announced the preparation of new security agreements involving Ukraine, according to Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s post on Telegram.

Situation in the Middle East

The global community continues to observe the tense situation in the Middle East, where stabilization remains a difficult task.

According to the head of state, high political and diplomatic activity will continue around Iran, while a decrease in the intensity of military actions is expected.

"Everyone can see how difficult it is to stabilize the situation in the Middle East. Yes, that is true. There will still be a lot of political and diplomatic activity around Iran. At the same time, we hope that there will be less military activity," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Impact on the economy and markets

The president emphasized that developments in the region are of global importance, particularly due to their impact on economic stability.

He pointed to fluctuations in oil prices and stressed the importance of maintaining the trend toward their decline.

"This matters for everyone in the world because of market destabilization. Now oil prices are decreasing, and it is important not to break this trend. The world wants stability, and people want security," the president stressed

New security agreements

Separately, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the work of the National Security and Defense Council in the direction of cooperation with countries located near Iran.

According to him, new draft agreements have already been prepared, and discussions on the next stage of arrangements are also planned.

"There was a report from the RNBO (The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine) Secretary — he continues to work with countries near Iran, and there will be more of our Ukrainian security agreements: new drafts of agreements are already prepared. I have scheduled a meeting for Monday on the second wave of such agreements of ours. Ukraine is making its contribution to security, and in response, partners will make their contribution to strengthening Ukraine," the guarantor summarized.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that preparations are underway for trilateral negotiations aimed at ending the war, although the specific format of this meeting remains undetermined for now.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that Kyiv expects the unblocking of financial support from the European Union in the amount of €90 billion.
