The first minutes after a drone attack on residential buildings in Marhanets, Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, were captured on national police body cameras.
Details of Russian assault on Ukraine's Marhanets
Russian strike drones targeted residential apartment buildings in one of the city's neighborhoods around midnight. The strikes sparked fires and caused significant damage to apartments and entrances.
Video from police body cameras captured the first minutes after the attack, showing flames, smoke, damaged staircases, shattered windows, destroyed walls, and chunks of concrete.
The footage shows civilians in a panic, calling for help, searching for relatives, and trying to reach shelters.

Casualties and injuries
A baby boy only a few months old was killed in the Russian strike. The infant suffered injuries incompatible with life.
Another 11 people were injured to varying degrees. Two children—a 5-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl—are among those wounded.
Police officers remain at the scene, assisting residents and documenting the consequences of yet another Russian war crime.
Situation in Marhanets city
As previously reported, the Russian army regularly targets residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure in Marhanets, using heavy artillery and strike drones.
The attacks cause significant destruction and have tragic consequences for civilians.
In particular, during one of the most recent nighttime attacks, Russian drones struck apartment buildings in the city. This attack killed a three-month-old baby and injured 11 other people.
In addition to the direct threat to people's lives, systematic attacks regularly cause disruptions to essential utilities in the city and surrounding communities.
Recently, a major water main failure left Marhanets without drinking water for several days, while the infrastructure ministry took personal control of efforts to restore the water supply.
