Two children are among those injured: a five-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl.

Marhanets has made headlines repeatedly in recent weeks. In early August, the city was left without drinking water for several days due to an accident on a main water pipeline. At the time, officials cited not only the accident itself but also an incomplete and delayed response by those responsible, prompting President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to announce the dismissal of the official responsible.
Centralized water supplies were later restored, and the prime minister warned the heads of frontline regions that they would be personally responsible for maintaining backup capacity.
The situation was also complicated by a Russian attack on August 5, which left 126,000 households in Dnipropetrovsk region without electricity, including in Nikopol, Marhanets and Pokrov.
