An agent of the Atesh movement carried out a successful sabotage operation, destroying a communications tower in Kursk, the Atesh movement reported.
As the partisan movement reported, the target was a key communications hub that was actively used by numerous Russian military units and security agencies stationed in the city.
The destruction of the communications tower immediately disrupted links between key facilities, including the 27th Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Brigade, the Russian Federal Security Service Directorate for the Kursk Region, the Federal Penitentiary Service Directorate for the Kursk Region, and many other military facilities.
"This operation is a direct strike on the regime's internal infrastructure, showing that resistance can be anywhere," Atesh said.
The disruption of communications between key military units and command bodies in the border region complicates the coordination of Russian forces' actions.
"The ATESH movement continues to systematically destroy the enemy's communications and logistics network across Russia. Even in border regions such as Kursk, occupiers and security forces cannot feel safe," the partisan group emphasized.
Successful sabotage operations by Atesh
Earlier, Atesh partisans disrupted Russian railway logistics in the Kupiansk direction by destroying a locomotive used to transport military cargo, primarily to supply the Kupiansk grouping of Russian forces.
The destruction of the locomotive complicated the formation of train convoys and disrupted schedules for shipments of weapons and equipment.
The movement's agents also carried out another act of sabotage in Russia's Rostov region, paralyzing a key railway supply hub for the Russian army near Rostov-on-Don.
As a result of arson attacks on relay cabinets, the operation of the leading logistics hub — through which supplies are delivered to Russian forces across all southern directions — was disrupted.
In October 2025, Atesh partisans disrupted the movement schedules of trains carrying military equipment and personnel in Russia's Rostov region. That act of sabotage took place in Novocherkassk.
