Agents of the partisan movement ATESH carried out another act of sabotage in Russia’s Rostov Oblast. This time, they paralyzed a key railway hub supplying the Russian army near Rostov-on-Don, according to a statement published on ATESH’s channel.
The publication уточнює that the sabotage was carried out at a "strategic railway junction in Bataysk, resulting in significant consequences."
"As a result of setting fire to relay cabinets, the operation of the main logistics hub was disrupted - the hub through which supplies are delivered to occupying forces across all southern directions," ATESH wrote.
The partisans noted that through this junction, Russia transports military trains carrying personnel, armored vehicles, fuel, and ammunition. In particular, supplies are routed to Russian groupings in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk directions, as well as to Crimea.
"The sabotage triggered a chain reaction of delays and supply disruptions for the Russian forces. The disruption of operations at the Bataysk-Sortirovochnaya station led to logistical problems for the enemy. Military cargo is now stuck en route, and the occupiers’ operational planning is under threat of collapse," the post said.
ATESH added that its partisans continue to systematically destroy the Russian forces' rear infrastructure.
Other incidents
Several months earlier, in October, ATESH partisans also disrupted the movement schedule of military echelons carrying equipment and personnel in Russia’s Rostov Oblast. At that time, the sabotage took place in Novocherkassk.
In addition, it was reported that on the 21st, agents of the movement blew up railway tracks in Smolensk, leading to a missile production plant. The enterprise manufactures Kh-59 missiles.
