Agents of ATESH blew up railway tracks in Smolensk leading to a missile production plant, according to the movement's Telegram channel.

According to the movement, the agents blew up the railway tracks leading to the aircraft plant.

This plant manufactures Kh-59 missiles for Russia’s Ministry of Defense, as well as drones and other military equipment.

"It is a strategic target, and we will continue to strike such facilities. Defense industry enterprises are unprotected; production disruptions will increase," the partisan movement said in a statement.

Members of the organization of plant workers confirmed that missile logistics are currently disrupted, the Atesh movement added.

ATESH sabotage operations

The ATESH partisans regularly carry out sabotage to destroy Russian military assets, including on railways.

On September 17, movement agents paralysed a rail junction near Yekaterinburg. Supplies of ammunition, armored vehicles, fuel, and personnel to the front, as well as deliveries to factories and depots in northern and eastern Russia, passed through that hub.

Three days earlier, on September 14, the partisans carried out a successful sabotage on a railway in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of Russia. A relay cabinet between two railway stations was set on fire. That rail line is used to transfer ammunition and military equipment from industrial enterprises in the North Caucasus to Rostov region and then to the front in Ukraine.
