Ukrainian Navy reports record Russian missile attack from Black Sea overnight

Russian troops have once again employed their usual tactic of launching attacks from missile carriers at sea - leaving the harbor, striking, and returning. Last night, Russian forces fired nearly two dozen missiles from the Black Sea waters, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Spokesperson of the Ukrainian Naval Forces Dmytro Pletenchuk.
According to Pletenchuk, by morning, three enemy ships remained at sea, two of which were armed with missiles. He noted that this was already the third case of cruise missile carrier usage since the beginning of the year.
"It happened once in January, once in February, and now we have this March attack. It’s definitely not something they are using actively," Pletenchuk explained.
At the same time, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy emphasized that the overall activity of Russian forces in the Black Sea this year is lower than last year. After the missile strike, three Russian ships remained in the area, two of them armed with missiles.
Massive shelling on night of March 7
On the night of March 7, the Russian armed forces launched another large-scale attack on Ukraine’s energy system.
The Russians used both attack drones and missiles.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy deployed Tu-95MS strategic bombers. In addition, cruise missile launches from maritime areas were recorded.
Ukraine’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko stated that energy and gas infrastructure were targeted.
Furthermore, during the large-scale attack on Ukraine, Russian terrorists damaged an industrial facility in the Chernihiv region.
