Ukrainian MoD unveils directions where Russians currently concentrating
Currently, Russian military forces are concentrating their efforts in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, striving to advance with full force, according to the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.
She emphasizes that the Kupiansk and Lyman directions are at the epicenters of the occupiers' attention.
"It is precisely there that the enemy is trying to divert our forces and units. They have decided for themselves that they will use all their strength to advance along these directions," said the Deputy Minister.
In addition, Maliar notes that battles are ongoing in the directions of Klyshchiivka, Kurdiumivka, and Andriivka. According to her, Ukrainian military forces are making gradual progress there.
Frontline situation
The General Staff reports that Ukrainian military forces continue to hold back the enemy's offensive in the Kupiansk, Lyman, and Bakhmut directions. Specifically, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Klyshchiivka in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting continues.
Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov informs that the Russians have achieved some success near Kupiansk. Moreover, the occupiers could find themselves trapped there if the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced in the Bakhmut direction.
Furthermore, recently, Maliar reported that in the Kupiansk direction, the Russians were creating mine and explosive obstacles along the border in the Bilhorod region and were searching for weak points in Ukrainian defense to breach it.
Additionally, British intelligence suggests that against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' success in the south, the occupiers might intensify their offensive in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction over the next two months.
Russia has concentrated 110,000 troops in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction. They have also increased the number of shelling incidents.
