Ukrainian minister meets with Finnish MFA: New aid packages underway
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko met with his Finnish counterpart Mari Rantanen in Vilnius. Finland is preparing new aid for Ukraine, according to Ihor Klymenko's Telegram channel.
"The assistance from Finland is primarily focused on enhancing the capabilities of Ukrainian rescuers. Just earlier this week, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received 9 specialized vehicles from their Finnish counterparts," writes Ihor Klymenko.
According to the minister, the parties have also agreed to organize training sessions for Finnish rescuers. Helsinki is impressed with the work of our emergency responders during the full-scale terrorist invasion and wishes to learn from the experience gained.
New aid packages
As Klymenko notes, safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of Ukraine's population during the fall-winter season is currently a top priority.
"In this regard, we can also count on Finland's support. According to Mrs. Rantanen, new aid packages are already being formed," the minister added.
Assistance to Ukraine from Finland
Finland has been providing Ukraine with both military and humanitarian aid following the start of Russia's full-scale military aggression. For example, the country's government previously issued instructions for developing a plan for its involvement in Ukraine's recovery.
It is also known that Helsinki is preparing another package of defense assistance for Ukraine, which will be the 19th such package.
