Soldiers of the Black Swan assault battalion of the 255th strike group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are operating on the eastern front, demonstrated the current state of Chasovyi Yar on the Telegram channel.

Around the area, the ground was scorched by Russian shells and rockets, trees were fallen and buildings were destroyed. All the buildings in the neighborhood were destroyed.
Russian offensive on Chasiv Yar
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Russians were tasked with capturing the town of Chasiv Yar near Bakhmut by May 9. The capture of the town will create conditions for the enemy's further advance toward the Kramatorsk agglomeration.
In addition, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov notes that Russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense west of Bakhmut, but the Ukrainian military is disrupting the Russian plans.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the situation in some frontline areas has recently begun to deteriorate.
