Over the past week, Ukrainian defenders have liberated 4.8 square kilometers of territory in the Tavria direction. In total, nearly 260 square kilometers have been liberated in this direction, reports Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar.

Situation in the south

Offensive operations are ongoing in the Melitopol direction. Ukrainian forces have achieved success south of Robotyne and west of Verbove.

Over the past week, our defenders have liberated 4.8 square kilometers of territory in the Tavria direction, including the southern part of the Donetsk region. In total, the operational-strategic grouping of troops Tavria has liberated 256.5 square kilometers of land.

Meanwhile, Russian forces are in a defensive position in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. They continue to shell the positions of Ukrainian Defense Forces units and civilian objects in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions, actively using Lancet cluster munitions.

Situation in the east

Fighting continues in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian troops have successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Russians are continuing to regroup their forces. They are conducting unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Novoiehorivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the occupiers are trying to halt our advance. They have unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Zaliznyanske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region.

At the same time, the Defense Forces are advancing and have achieved partial success in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. They are displacing the occupiers from their occupied positions and consolidating their gains.

Over the past week, 2 square kilometers have been liberated in the Bakhmut direction. In total, around Bakhmut, 49 square kilometers have been deoccupied.

Meanwhile, in the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the Russians have concentrated their main efforts on conducting offensive operations to establish full control over Maryinka and encircle Avdiivka. Our defenders are preventing the enemy from carrying out these plans.

The Russians have also conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Keramik, Avdiivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Prechystivka in the Donetsk region.

As a result of the storming actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a part of Opytne has been deoccupied, and there is partial success in the area of Novomaiorske. However, the situation is highly dynamic. Battles are ongoing, and there may be changes in positions and the overall situation.

Ukraine's counteroffensive

Throughout the past week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have liberated approximately 1.5 square kilometers in the southern front.

There have been successes in the Robotyne area in the Melitopol direction. During the last week, Ukrainian forces have liberated a part of Opytne near Donetsk. They are consolidating their positions on the achieved frontlines.
