Ukrainian military hits Russian boat in Caspian Sea and key battlefield infrastructure

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian boat in the Caspian Sea, drone control points, and concentrations of enemy manpower. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed the destruction of several more targets from previous strikes.
Boat in Dagestan
On May 17 and during the night of May 18, 2026, Ukrainian units struck a Grachonok anti-sabotage boat in the area of Kaspiysk — a city in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia.
Russia uses such boats to protect naval bases and counter sabotage groups.
Several enemy drone control points were also hit. The strikes were carried out in the areas of:
- Rozdolne and Shevchenko in the Donetsk region;
- Dvorichna in the Kharkiv region;
- Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Karnatnoye in the Bryansk region of Russia.
Ukrainian forces also struck concentrations of enemy personnel in Piddubne in the Donetsk region and in Olhyne in the Kherson region.

Destruction of targets from previous strikes confirmed
Following clarification of previous attacks, the destruction of several important objects was confirmed.
May 17, 2026:
- Communications node in Myrnyi in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea;
- Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system in Zakhidne in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region;
- Fuel train in Fedorivka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.
May 16, 2026:
- Ka-27 helicopter and Be-200 maritime patrol aircraft — destroyed as a result of a strike on the Yeysk air base in Krasnodar Krai, Russia;
- Airspace monitoring station in Lesnoye (Bryansk region, Russia).
As we previously reported, Ukraine's special unit Artan, together with adjacent units, pushed out Russian forces from Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
Ukraine has also developed its own glide bomb. According to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, it is already ready for combat use.
