Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha will visit Brussels to take part in EU and NATO events, as well as discussions on the return of deported Ukrainian children, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.

Visit agenda, key meetings

The visit will begin on May 11 with an address at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

Key topics will include increasing pressure on Russia, continued support for Ukraine, and accelerating Ukraine's EU accession process, including the opening of negotiation clusters.

A number of bilateral agreements with European partners are expected to be signed on the sidelines of the meeting.

In the afternoon, the foreign minister will visit NATO headquarters for talks with Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The sides will discuss strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, protecting against Russian threats, and advancing the peace process.

Return of deported children

The central event of the visit will be participation in a meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. The event is organized by Ukraine together with the EU and Canada.

Alongside Sybiha, the attendees will include Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, and EU Commissioner Marta Kos.

The participants will focus on developing practical mechanisms to locate the children, support their rehabilitation, and increase legal pressure on Russia.

Other statements by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

Recently, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine pointed to significant contradictions in Kremlin statements. In particular, Putin aide Yuri Ushakov issued another ultimatum for continuing negotiations, but the ministry noted a key slip in his wording that effectively exposed Moscow's true intentions regarding peace with Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian foreign ministry continues to document war crimes committed by occupying forces in the south of the country. The situation on the left bank of the Kherson region remains critical — Russia has created a humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky and Hola Prystan, where trapped civilians are living without electricity or food under constant drone attacks.
