Ukrainian Magura V5 drones inflict $500 million in damage to Russian Black Sea Fleet
Ukrainian Magura V5 naval drones caused $500 million in damage to the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Experts continue to improve the drones, according to Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
According to Yusov, the secret of the Ukrainian Magura naval drone lies in the skill of Ukrainian manufacturers, who were able to create a unique means of destroying Russian fleets, weapons, and personnel. He called the Magura V5 drone one of the main fighters of the Russian Navy.
In addition, not only the characteristics of the weapon are important, but also the skill of the intelligence officers and specialists of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, in particular, the Group 13 special unit. According to the intelligence officer, this combination is constantly being improved and yields new results.
"As of today, the aggressor's Black Sea Fleet has already suffered more than USD 500 million in losses as a result of effective actions of the DIU's special forces using Magura drones," he says.
According to Yusov, the DIU analyzes the consequences after each successful operation, just like the Russians, who are trying to find countermeasures and tactics to protect its ships. Yusov adds that the Magura drone is being improved, including equipment, warhead, and other elements.
Magura V5 drones
The Magura V5 maritime drone was created during Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Moreover, Ukraine has a fleet of maritime drones.
These drones attack the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. For example, the other day, the fighters of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine hit a Russian speedboat in Crimea with a Magura V5. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, it happened in the area of the Vuzka Bay (Chornomorske district) on the night of May 6.
Earlier, Ukraine demonstrated the Magura V5 kamikaze marine drone. Read more in the RBC-Ukraine report.
