Ukrainian intelligence (GUR) officers struck a fuel depot at the Russian Atlas plant in the Rostov region. According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, a massive fire has started.

"As a result of the GUR operation using UAVs, a fuel and lubricant depot at the Atlas plant of the Federal Reserve Agency of Russia near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in the Rostov region was hit," sources explain.

It is indicated that the facility was struck with 15 Obsidian UAVs of the Nayan project.

Fire broke out

According to Russian media and social networks, several fuel and lubricant tanks were hit. As a result of the kamikaze drones' strikes, a fire broke out at the base.

As of the morning of August 3, the fire at the plant continues. Detailed results of the operation are currently being clarified.

What is known about the depot

According to sources in Ukrainian intelligence, this depot supplies fuel and lubricants for Russian military units and divisions stationed in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Strikes on Russia on August 3

Ukrainian defense forces struck a range of targets across several Russian regions on the night of August 3 – in Rostov, Belgorod, and Kursk.

In particular, the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region was targeted. This object has been attacked by defense forces before.

Drones also attacked an oil depot in the Gubkinsky urban district in the Belgorod region. Another oil depot in the Rostov region was also targeted.
