Powerful fire at Rostov oil depot after Ukrainian forces' attack
A powerful fire broke out in the Rostov region following a nighttime attack. A tank at an oil depot is burning, according to local Telegram channels.
According to Russian media, the targets of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' attack on the night of August 3 were warehouses in the Kamensky and Morozovsk districts of the Rostov region.
The attack damaged fuel tanks.
Russian outlet Astra reports that the Atlas plant of Rosrezerv, which supplies fuel products to the Russian military, was hit in the Kamensky district. A large-scale fire has broken out there and has been burning since the night.
Videos published online show a column of black smoke several kilometers from the fire site.
Nighttime attack on Russia
This night, explosions were reported in several regions of Russia. The Ukrainian General Staff announced that the Defense Forces targeted the Morozovsk military airfield in the Rostov region. There was a hit on ammunition warehouses, including those storing guided aviation bombs.
The Defense Forces also attacked several oil depots and fuel storage facilities in the Belgorod, Kursk, and Rostov regions.
Preliminary information indicates that at least two fuel tanks caught fire.
