Ukrainian intelligence reveals Shahed launch site in Russia's Oryol region

Agents of Atesh conducted reconnaissance of a launch site for Shaheds in Russia's Oryol region and shared photos showing how Russian forces are preparing strikes against Ukrainian territory, the Atesh movement reported.
"Our agents carried out reconnaissance in the area of the settlement of Rudnevo, where they thoroughly examined the launch site for kamikaze drones. Active construction work is underway at the facility to expand the infrastructure and strengthen protection against strikes by the Defense Forces of Ukraine," Atesh reported.
It is stated that the scouts managed to record the construction of reinforced concrete storage facilities for storing and preparing Shaheds for launches. The modernization of the site indicates the Russian forces' intention to increase the intensity of strikes on Ukrainian cities.
"All intelligence data — coordinates, layout diagrams of the facilities, and the operating schedule of the site — have been immediately transferred to the Defense Forces of Ukraine for appropriate countermeasures," the representatives of the movement added.
Russia increases the number of drone strikes on Ukraine
Earlier, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, stated that in the future, Russian forces could launch up to one thousand Shaheds per day. According to him, this information is based on obtained intelligence data.
At the same time, the Air Force believes that launching 1,000 drones per day is currently beyond Russia's capabilities. They are increasing the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, but still far from reaching the level that would allow such massive launches.
However, during the summer and autumn of 2025, Russian forces repeatedly launched 700–800 drones in a single night. In particular, on the night of July 9, Russian forces fired 728 Shaheds and Gerans at Ukraine.
