Russia may launch 1,000 Shaheds per day in near future – Ukrainian intel Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces (Madyar's Facebook)

Russian forces may be capable of launching up to 1,000 Shahed drones per day in the future. This assessment is based on intelligence data, according to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

"Under the pressure of the enemy's increasing mass use of the Shahed — cheap but capable of reaching anywhere — with modifications we cannot predict in real time, there will be 1,000 units per day or more. I'm not trying to scare anyone. This is based on intelligence analysis," Madyar said.

He added that to counter such attacks, Ukraine would need to relocate drone production facilities within the country.

Record number of Shahed launches

During the night of July 4, Russian forces launched a record number of Shahed kamikaze drones.

According to Yurii Ihnat, Head of Communications for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 330 Shaheds were detected in Ukraine's airspace overnight. In addition, Russia also used decoy drones.

On June 27, Le Monde reported that Russia has increased its Shahed production capacity, even involving African women in drone assembly.

In response, Ukraine has ramped up production of interceptor drones to shoot down incoming Shaheds.
