Ukrainian Intelligence reveals Russian pilot involved in helicopter handover operation
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine has, for the first time, revealed the Russian pilot who delivered and transferred a Russian Mi-8 helicopter to Ukraine during the "Synytsia" ("Titmouse") special operation, according to a video announcement for the documentary film "Shot-Down Russian Pilots."
The pilot with an uncovered face appeared in the video announcement of the documentary film "Shot-Down Russian Pilots," published on the Ukrainian Intelligence YouTube channel.
In the video announcement, he says that Ukraine's victory in the war is only a matter of time.
"No one wants this war. You'll see, when Ukraine wins, it's just a matter of time," he stated.
What happened
On August 23, rumors were actively spreading on social media that a Russian Mi-8 helicopter had supposedly landed in Ukraine. It was claimed that the helicopter's pilots had "lost their bearings" and ended up on Ukrainian territory not under occupation. However, by the time they realized where they were, it was already too late.
