Ukrainian Intelligence raids Kinburn Spit, takes out dozens of Russian troops and equipment
Today, on August 9, special forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) raided the Kinburn Spit, temporarily occupied by the enemy. Dozens of Russian soldiers and their equipment were destroyed during the operation, according to DIU.
During the raid on the Kinburn Spit, the Special Forces destroyed:
- six units of enemy armored vehicles;
- about three dozen soldiers.
On the spit, the soldiers attacked the enemy's fortifications at their positions Kinburn Fortress, Marine Station, and Monument to Suvorov.
Near the Monument to Suvorov position, the soldiers planted the DIU's battle flag.

The operation was carried out by the following units: Chimera, Stuhna, Paragon, Siberian Battalion, Terror as part of the DIU's Tymur Special unit with the support of the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and in cooperation with other components of the Security Forces.
"The Kinburn Spit will be free, as well as all other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine," the intelligence added.
The operation of DIU
It is also worth mentioning the operation of DIU on the Tenderivska Spit, which took place on August 6. At the same time, the fighters landed on the spit and destroyed several pieces of Russian equipment and their fortifications. In particular, the enemy also suffered losses among its personnel.
According to Ivan Tymochko, head of the Reservists' Council of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian reconnaissance men have already completed a number of secret missions in addition to the known operations.
