Ukrainian intel eliminates Russian agents who murdered top Security Service officer in Kyiv

Ukrainian law enforcement officers identified and eliminated the killers who murdered Colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Ivan Voronych in Kyiv on July 10, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, stated.
According to Malyuk, the Russians prematurely sent an FSB agent-combat group to Ukraine. Three days ago, it killed an employee of the SBU, Colonel Ivan Voronych.
As a result of covert search and active counterintelligence measures, the enemy's lair was discovered.
"During the arrest, they resisted, and there was a firefight, so the scum were eliminated. I want to remind everyone: the only prospect for the enemy on the territory of Ukraine is death," Malyuk emphasized.
He thanked the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police for their professionalism and support.
Details from the SBU
As it turned out, the murder of Colonel Ivan Voronych was carried out by a man and a woman. Their handler ordered them to surveil the colonel, learn his daily schedule, and routes of movement.
After that, the Russian handed the agents the coordinates of a cache where a pistol was hidden.
After the killing of Voronych, the killers tried to "go to ground." But SBU officers located them in the Kyiv region. This morning, July 13, the killers were eliminated during an SBU operation. The special operation was personally led by Malyuk.
The killing of Voronych
SBU Colonel Ivan Voronych was shot dead on the morning of July 10 in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, as he was leaving the entrance of his apartment building—an unknown person shot him several times with a pistol and fled the scene.
Voronych served in the Special Operations Center (Alpha), which had been conducting active sabotage against Russian forces since 2014, including the elimination of key figures in the Russian occupation administration.
