Ukrainian frontier guards strengthen border with Belarus
Frontier guards continue to strengthen Ukraine's border with Belarus, setting up various types of barriers, according to the State Border Guard Service (SBGS).
"Despite the changing weather conditions on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, SBGS units continue to set up barriers: reinforced concrete, metal mesh and Egoza barbed wire, and mine-blast barriers in threatened areas. Anti-tank ditches are being dug and anti-tank pyramids are being installed throughout the area," the statement says.
According to the frontier guards, they use departmental special equipment and equipment received from partners.
According to SBGS spokesman Andrii Demchenko, the situation on the border with Belarus remains under full control. Intelligence units are monitoring the situation on the other side of the border, assessing the threat, and responding promptly.
Belarus' role in Russia's war against Ukraine and the situation on the border
Belarus is helping Russia in its war against Ukraine. Back at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian terrorists attacked our country from the territory of Belarus. At the same time, the enemy captured parts of Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. Later, our soldiers de-occupied more territory.
The Russians also used Belarus to launch missile strikes against Ukraine.
In addition, the so-called Russian-Belarusian military training allowed Moscow to keep its troops in Belarus.
Earlier, SBGS spokesperson Andrii Demchenko said that the situation along the border with Belarus remained under control: there are no attempts by subversive groups to infiltrate or escalate the situation.
Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Naev emphasized that the Ukrainian military was monitoring the border with Belarus and ready to respond quickly in case of a threat.
