Ukrainian Foreign Minister on meeting with Wang Yi: I explained that Ukraine will not bend to anyone's ultimatums
Ukraine will never bend to any ultimatums regarding the end of the war. At the same time, China agrees that to end the war with Russia in Ukraine, "sustainable peace" must be achieved, not just an illusion of peace, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
According to Kuleba, he told his Chinese counterpart that Ukraine would never bend to any ultimatums regarding the end of the war.
"Ukraine has not bent to any of Putin's ultimatums, and Ukraine will never bend if anyone in the world tries to speak to us in the language of ultimatums. This is not the kind of President Zelenskyy is, nor is this the kind of state Ukraine is, nor is this the kind of people we are," he said.
Additionally, the Foreign Minister noted that Wang Yi agreed that what is needed is not an illusion of peace but a "just and sustainable peace."
Today, the Foreign Minister met with his Chinese counterpart, who recently invited Kuleba to China.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed Russia's war against Ukraine and bilateral relations between the countries.
