Ukrainian Forces to receive domestic UAT-TISA armored vehicle: What is known
Ukrainian military forces will receive the UAT-TISA armored vehicle, a development by Ukrainian manufacturers, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the use of the domestic armored vehicle UAT-TISA for the Defense Forces. The vehicle can be used for a wide range of tasks, with additional devices and equipment installed depending on the mission.
UAT-TISA is built on the chassis of an off-road vehicle from a well-known car manufacturer. A specially designed armored capsule is installed on the chassis to protect the crew from small arms fire.
The design of the armored capsule allows for the installation of a machine gun on the turret. The vehicle’s mine protection system is capable of withstanding the detonation of explosive devices under the wheels and the underside of the vehicle.
The Ukrainian vehicle features excellent dynamic performance, off-road capability, and a smooth ride. With a full tank of fuel, it can cover over a thousand kilometers on a single refueling.
Ukrainian-made weapons
During the full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly increased its weapons production. Both private and state-owned Ukrainian companies are manufacturing various types of drones, electronic warfare systems, ammunition, armored vehicles, and other weaponry.
Ukraine is also advancing its missile program. In August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first successful use of the Palianytsia drone-missile.
He has also stated that Ukraine is working on developing its own ballistic weapons. For more details on Ukraine's secret weapons, read our material.
