Ukrainian forces destroy Russian observation post near Bakhmut: Video
Ukrainian defense forces identified an enemy observation post near Bakhmut and launched an attack on it. As a result of this attack, the enemy incurred casualties in personnel, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"Hunting border 'birds'! Enemy observation post destroyed," the announcement reads.
It is reported that near Bakhmut, border guards' aerial reconnaissance identified the location of occupiers and their observation post.
"As a result of coordinated actions with the Ukrainian artillery, it has been destroyed, along with a minimum of 2 individuals," the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine added.
Fighting near Bakhmut
Bakhmut has been the epicenter of hostilities in eastern Ukraine for many months. Since the end of May, Ukrainian defenders have intensified their offensive actions on the flanks of Bakhmut.
Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskii, previously explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could encircle Bakhmut operationally. This would prevent occupiers from remaining in the city.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar stated that Ukrainian forces had liberated approximately 47 square kilometers in the Bakhmut direction during the counteroffensive.
