Ukrainian forces clear Russian troops from Novokhatske village in Donetsk region

Novokhatske in the Donetsk region has been liberated despite heavy mining and fierce enemy resistance, according to the 37th Separate Marine Brigade.
Novokhatske in the Donetsk region has been completely cleared of Russian forces. The operation was carried out by troops from the 37th Separate Marine Brigade together with soldiers from the 79th Separate Tavriiska Air Assault Brigade.

According to the military, Ukrainian defenders advanced through the settlement step by step despite fierce enemy resistance and extensive minefields.
Russian troops were pushed out of their positions. They suffered losses and retreated.
The 37th Brigade thanked the troops of the 79th Air Assault Brigade for the joint operation.
On July 3, Russian leader Vladimir Putin claimed that Russian forces had captured Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
Ukraine's General Staff dismissed the claim, stressing that the city remains under the control of the Defense Forces.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also rejected Putin's claim, emphasizing that fierce fighting for the city is ongoing.
