The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Stavrolen defense plant in Budyonovsk, Stavropol Krai, Russia, as well as an ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied Novyi Svit, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As part of efforts to reduce the production capacity of petrochemical products for the needs of Russia's military-industrial complex, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the infrastructure of Stavrolen LLC (Budyonovsk, Stavropol Krai, Russian Federation)," Ukraine's General Staff says.

The plant has a full cycle of hydrocarbon processing and produces polymers for the manufacture of composite materials, body parts, seals, and insulation for various types of Russian army equipment. Among other things, it also produces components for drones.

Numerous explosions and a fire were recorded at the site of the strike. The results of the strike are being clarified.

In addition, to reduce Russia's offensive capabilities, an ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied territory in Novyi Svit, Donetsk region, was struck.

What Ukrainian Special Operations Forces say
