Ukrainian forces advance near Lyman as counteroffensive continues - Zelenskyy

Ukrainian forces are seeing positive results from counteroffensive operations near Lyman, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters.
The president responded to a question about what is currently happening during the counteroffensive near Lyman and what the next strategic objective is.
"I will be very careful with what I say until the operation is completed. I want to thank our warriors. There are positive developments there. There is progress in the Lyman direction and beyond. What is the next strategic objective? Let us accomplish this strategic objective," the president said.
Recently, air defense units of the Third Army Corps destroyed large numbers of Russian reconnaissance drones during Operation Vivaldi.
In addition, Ukrainian forces drove Russian troops out of the village of Serednie without suffering losses, completely clearing the settlement and establishing control over it.
Ukraine's Defense Forces also managed to liberate an area larger than the city of Zhytomyr. During the fighting, Ukrainian troops destroyed concealed enemy positions and established a foothold for further advances in the region.
According to assessments by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukraine's Defense Forces improved their positions on the front in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
