Ukrainian soldiers raised the flag at the border checkpoint with Russia. The checkpoint is located directly on the state border and has not been operational since the full-scale invasion by Russia.

The situation in the Kharkiv region

Almost all the territory of the Kharkiv region, which was occupied by Russians since February 24th, was liberated from the occupation as a result of last year's autumn counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, a small part of the region's territory remains under Russian control.

Additionally, Russians are attempting to recapture the city of Kupiansk, an important railway hub. Occupiers are conducting constant attacks on the city, and recently, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, predicted that the enemy's attacks might intensify.

We previously reported that on November 11th, border guards raised the Ukrainian flag in the village of Topoli, located in the gray zone of the Kharkiv region.
