Ukrainian drones destroy Russian Zaslon radar system in Russia's Kursk region: Video

In Russia's Kursk region, operators of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces struck a rare Russian Zaslon radar system on a wheeled platform, located a significant distance from the state border, according to the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces.
"In the Kursk region, at a significant distance from the state border, operators of the 413th Raid Battalion, part of the consolidated Dzhmil UAV unit of the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment, struck and disabled a Zaslon radar system mounted on a wheeled platform," the statement reads.
It is noted that this is a rare modification of a naval radar complex typically installed on Russia’s newest corvettes. The system is capable of detecting targets at a distance of up to 300 kilometers, providing target designation for surface-to-air missiles, and controlling air defense and artillery fire.
According to Russian media reports from 2019, the cost of a single ship-based Zaslon radar system was approximately $46 million.
Additionally, in the Donetsk region, Raid operators struck two of Russia's newest TOS-2 Tosochka thermobaric weapon systems, which are a deep modernization of the TOS-1A Solntsepyok. The TOS-2 was adopted by the Russian Armed Forces in 2021, and the first destruction of this system in Ukraine was recorded in February 2025.
