On July 6, Ukrainian drones attacked a Russian anti-aircraft missile system that could have been used to strike Kyiv, according to a statement from the 413th Raid Regiment of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

Raid Regiment destroys S-400 launcher

Operators from the 413th Raid Regiment detected and destroyed a launcher belonging to a Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in Russia's Bryansk region. Russian forces had been using the launcher to fire ballistic missiles at ground targets in Ukraine.

The incident occurred during another massive Russian strike, which specifically targeted the capital.

"The Bryansk region is one of the regular launch areas from which Russian forces fire ballistic missiles at Kyiv," the regiment said.

The success of the strike on the S-400 system saved the lives of Ukrainian civilians, servicemen from the Unmanned Systems Forces emphasized.

Systematic strikes on Russian radars in the Bryansk region have opened a "window of opportunity" for Ukraine's long-range drones. Operators from the Roni group are targeting airspace control radars monitoring the skies toward Moscow.

Ukrainian forces destroyed a vehicle used as a launch platform for Shahed kamikaze drones, describing it as a relatively rare target.

Earlier, on the night of June 25, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a large-scale strike on Russian-occupied Crimea, hitting 38 military targets.
