Ukraine's drone forces reveal results of night strikes on Russian military targets in Crimea
Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a large-scale overnight attack on June 25 in occupied Crimea, hitting dozens of Russian logistics and military infrastructure targets, according to drone commander Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

Details of the overnight strikes

According to him, defenders from different Unmanned Systems Forces units struck Russia's facilities deep in the operational rear. In total, 38 targets were hit, including coastal radar stations, fuel and energy infrastructure, and logistics hubs.

In particular, the units hit:

  • Three coastal radar stations: MR-231 in the settlement of Myrnyi, as well as two Neva-B radar systems in the settlements of Morske and Zaozerne
  • Key energy facilities: the Tavriyskaya thermal power plant in Simferopol, as well as two major substations — 330/220/110/35 kV Sevastopol and the 330 kV Simferopolskaya substation
  • Fuel infrastructure: an oil depot in the city of Dzhankoi and two gas compressor stations in the areas of Zhuravlivka and Klyuchi
  • Air defense systems: a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun near the settlement of Kumove

The operation involved fighters from the 1st and 20th separate Unmanned Systems Forces centers, the 9th Kairos battalion of the 414th brigade Madyar’s Birds, the Phoenix unit, and the 412th brigade Nemesis.

Situation in Crimea

On the night of June 25, the temporarily occupied Crimea was massively attacked by drones. Powerful explosions were reported in the Simferopol, Pervomaiske, and Krasnoperekopsk districts, as well as in Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, and Yalta. Following strikes on the Tavriyskaya and Balaklava thermal power plants, widespread blackouts hit the peninsula.

Ahead of this attack, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) carried out a large-scale special operation, striking the infrastructure of the Saky and Hvardiiske military airfields, as well as destroying S-400 and Pantsir-S1 air defense systems near Kerch.

Commenting on these operations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian operation on the peninsula is carefully calculated. According to him, if Western partners make the necessary decisions on weapons supplies, Ukraine will be able to create conditions in which Russia will be forced to choose peace.
